When I first heard Trump wanted to buy Greenland, I thought he had gone too far. I sensed that the US needs Greenland for the effective Golden Dome project. However, he could/should negotiate something much easier to accomplish and less provocative. Mark Halperin’s talks [1-3] were very good. [3] makes the key point clear. Mark Halperin’s father was a well-known long-time worker in 3 administrations during the Cold War and a Democrat. He explained why the US was indispensable. Pippa Malmgren’s interview is also useful [4]. Finally, Niall Ferguson’s interview is very high quality and clarified almost all points. An interesting overview on Trump’s strategy by Niall Ferguson in [5]. Another Niall Ferguson’s interview was at lower level [6].

About Iran, one of the best and easiest to understand is [14]. The interviewee is a senior Iran expert. [5,6] also has parts about Iran. They are good although not as detailed.
