Learn the Rule of Law: An Example

One recent lawsuit provides a good example of the rule of law.  [1] is a YouTube link of two legal experts who debated this case. They are famed Alan Dershowitz and his former student. This example might help some to learn the rule of law.

For some background, Alan Dershowitz commented soon after the case came out [2]. You might learn his reasoning there. AG Bondi was also interviewed for this case [3].

As I mentioned frequently, Mainland Chinese had problems understanding the rule of law because of their lack of training in logic. An example is the TRUTH debate in 1978 [4]. Legal theory is known as jurisprudence, which is based on logic. The Bible, Roman law, and Greek philosophy (mainly Aristotle’s logic) were the foundation of modern jurisprudence [5]. If you can understand this example, the logic required in [4] is elementary. You only need entry-level knowledge (in fact, only the midterm level) in either philosophy, theoretical computer science, or discrete math to know that this debate was primitive [4]. Such a logic level is insufficient to enter a law school, whether in 1076 (when the universities began) or now, because that would require a bachelor’s degree.
